WellCare Health Plans, Inc. provides government-sponsored managed care services. The company operates in three segments: Medicaid Health Plans, Medicare Health Plans, and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs). It became a subsidiary of Centene Corporation in January 2020. The Medicaid Health Plans segment offers plans for beneficiaries of temporary assistance for needy families, supplemental security income, and aged blind and disabled residents; and other state-based programs, such as children’s health insurance programs and long-term services and supports programs for qualifying families who are not eligible for Medicaid.
The Medicare Health Plans segment provides Medicare, a federal program that provides eligible persons aged 65 and over, as well as some disabled persons with a range of hospital, medical, and prescription drug benefits; Medicare Advantage, a Medicare’s managed care alternative to the original Medicare program, which offers individuals standard Medicare benefits directly through Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services; and coordinated care plans that are administered through health maintenance organizations and require members to seek health care services and select a primary care physician from a network of health care providers.

This is one of the worst insurance companies you could possibly obtain your insurance from the people at this institution simply do not rely on common sense policies and they practice medicine without a license and they will cause you to lose your health and your life they are so intrusive

I need Help, I am 65 I call Wellcare I was back and fore with different customer service agent for two hours getting transfer from state to state or out of the county where they don’t understand English or the have poor connection. What can a senior do in order to get there question answer. This working at home is not working for the customer.

It pisses me to no end to call these people and have some slant-eyed gook that cannot speak or understand the English language. I am trying to find out when I will get the payment coupon book for my prescription drug coverage. Last year I did not get it until the second week in January. It is a miracle that my coverage did not lapse. And we all know how the US Mail works these days. We have that crooked bastard in the White House to thank for a lot of the mess that our country is in. This is just one example.
The phone calls are answered in Taiwan. You can call Medicare and file a complaint.
This company is pathetic!!!! I am so sorry I switched to them and rest assured I will not be with them next year. I don’t care if their premium is zero, I would rather pay and get good service.
I’ve tried several times to reach someone at customer service to no avail. Unfortunately in the past I had the opportunity to speak to a representative and they were always from out of the country, have strong accents that I asked to speak to someone in the United States and was cut off. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
I signed up for a plan, it turns out that…..now…..I have no health insurance plan
I have had 2 lengthy, frustrating experiences with calling member services, the number on the back of your card. English is obviously the language of second choice with these employees. Everything by the book, scripted and repetitive with no easy solution. Patience by the member is at a premium. What happened to them. 2021 you got someone courteous who spoke English. This year not one representative have spoken English clearly.
My problem is still not resolved even after downloading google chrome, there choice over Safari!
WellCare drug plans are POS. Don’t purchase one, they don’t pay for crap. You would be better off with no plan than theirs.
